Baghdad. In a popular market in the Karada shopping area, a roadside bomb detonates. As a crowd gathered around the site of the blast, a few minutes later a suicide bomber blew himself up which killed dozens and wounded scores. |

Jerusalem. Eight students of the Mercaz Harav Yeshiva in Jerusalem were killed when an attacker armed with a Kalashnikov assault rifle entered the yeshiva and opened fire in the library with about 80 people in attendance, most of them teenagers. Eleven others were wounded, including three who were in critical danger. The attacker, a resident of East Jerusalem, was killed by an IDF officer. |
